LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team opened its season with a stiff challenge in the University of Idaho on Monday night. The Warriors fell to the Vandals by a final score of 7-0.
Dominika Jasova, a second-team NAIA All-American last year, came close to pulling out a singles victory for LCSC. The sophomore took the No. 1 match against Victoria Lozano to three sets before falling 7-6, 5-7, 10-5.
The Warriors will face another strong NCAA Division-I opponent in Washington State University on Thursday. This match will be played in Pullman, Wash., and will begin at 9 a.m.
