The Lewis-Clark State College tennis teams maintained their positions in the second regular-season editions of the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 polls, which were released by the national office on Tuesday. As was the case in the preseason and opening regular season polls, the Warrior women stand at No. 16 and the men are at No. 19.
The LCSC women earned 177 points in the poll. They stand 3-9 overall with all nine of their losses coming against NCAA Division I opponents.
LCSC’s men garnered 142 points and are currently 4-3 overall.
Both teams will hit the road for their annual spring break trip to California next week. The teams will play one match a day for five straight days at five different locations during the trip and will go up against many top-ranking NAIA schools. Opponents include Point Loma Nazarene on March 12, Vanguard on March 13, Colorado Mesa on March 14, and Azusa Pacific on March 16. On March 15, the Warrior men will face Lady of the Lake, while the women will go up against Concordia-Irvine.
The next polls will be released on March 20.
