After a full week of competing against some of the top teams in the nation, the Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team was rewarded by being ranked No. 14 in the third regular-season edition of the NAIA Women’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. The Warrior men were ranked No. 24.

The Lewis-Clark State women’s squad played five matches in California last week, including four against ranked teams. The Warriors fell to No. 6 Point Loma Nazarene 7-2,, No. 8 Concordia 8-1, and No. 5 Azusa Pacific 6-3, but defeated No. 12 Vanguard 7-2.

LCSC, now 5-12 overall, garnered 164 points in the poll to climb from No. 16 to No. 14.

The Warrior men, now 5-7, played a similar road schedule last week, but were unable to come away with any victories against higher ranked opponents. They received 69 points and fell from No. 19 to No. 14.
