LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team lost 5-2 against NCAA Division I foe Eastern Washington University on Sunday afternoon at the LCSC Tennis Center.
It marked the first loss of the season for the seventh-ranked Warriors.
Livia Blasque and Rye Hewett managed victories for LCSC on Sunday at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
Blasque registered a three-set win over the Eagles’ Chelsea Patton, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, while Hewett upended Rocio Norena in a 7-5, 6-3 straight-set triumph.
EWU swept all three doubles matches from the Warriors.
LCSC will return to action on Friday when it travels to Seattle University to face the Redhawks at 10 a.m.
