The Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team was ranked No. 10 and the men’s team was No. 12 in the NAIA Tennis Coaches' Top 25 polls, the national office announced Tuesday.The Warrior women, ranked No. 10 in the previous poll, received 224 points after having established a 3-4 record on the year. The team’s next match will be on Saturday against Washington State University in Pullman.
LCSC’s men’s squad climbed one spot from its previous ranking of No. 13 thanks to a 5-1 record and 216 points. The Warrior men will play next in Costa Mesa, Calif., against Vanguard University on April 1. The match is the first of five consecutive contests in California.
The polls were voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/independents/unaffiliated groupings. The fourth regular-season poll will be announced on April 2.
