SOPHOMORE: 1-2 in singles, defeating Balbine Umeltesi of NIC on Feb. 18 in straight sets…Lost two doubles matches at Cougar Classic partnered with Marina Wold.

 

FRESHMAN: Won lone singles match over NIC’s Nicole Cammann on Feb. 13 and later teamed with Florencia Martina to beat Cammann and Tanya Greenwood 8-2.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in tennis at Hood River Valley (Ore.) HS under coaches Ross Holcomb and Leslie Kerr, occupying the No. 1 singles spot as a junior and senior…First team all-league as a senior and fourth place in 6A district…Won second place at Madras Invitational as a junior and senior…Also participated in USTA Pacific Northwest tournaments outside of high school team…Played soccer at Hood River Valley as well.

 

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 4, 1991 to Patricio Ramos and Bernardita Ortega…Enjoys listening to music, tennis, watching new and old movies, spending time with family and friends, skiing, reading and anything active…Majoring in Biology.
