LCSC sets six track marks during indoor meet at UI
MOSCOW, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College indoor track team set six school records, including three in relays, during the Vandal Collegiate meet at the University of Idaho Kibbie Dome on Saturday.
Lindsay Szybura set a school mark in the 3,000 when she finished second in 11:01.53.
Kristin Smith set an indoor discus mark at 128-007, which placed her fifth overall. She also was 13th in the shot put at 33-10.
Another mark to fall was the women’s weight throw as Melissa Neuman threw 39-07.25 to finish 11th.
Sheree Barbour finished third in the 800 in 2:28.32 and was a member of the 1,600 relay team that set a school mark with a 4:23.32 showing. She was joined on the team by Madison Randall, Kelsey Klettke, and Francis Rojas.
LCSC also set school records in the men’s and women’s distance medley relays. The women’s time was 13:10.14, while the men’s time was 11:43.11.
Also on the men’s side, Damie Burchard was 11th in the 60 meters in 7.88 seconds, and was 10th in the 200 in 25.64. Harun Kigera was 19th in the 400 in 55.10, while Grant Eldridge and Scott Sweet finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the mile run. Eldridge was timed in 4:37.71, while Sweet finished in 4:56.07.
Jon Dalton was 16th in the 800 in 2:04.49, while Eric Tuwei was fifth in the 3,000 in 9:01.52, while Eldridge was 11th in 9:25.94. Nathan Uhlorn fouled in all of his shot put attempts.
Other women finishers for the Warriors included Nicole Hardisty finishing ninth in the 60 meter prelims in 8.94 seconds and 11th in the 200 in 29.16; BreAnne Biard was 10th in the discus at 103-01, and Alicia Blum was 16th in the weight throw at 36-10.25.
