Brittney Rogers, a senior at Juan Diego Catholic High School in Draper, Utah, has signed a letter-of-intent to join the Lewis-Clark State College track team next year and compete in the javelin.
Rogers has a personal best of 119-feet 1-inch this season and holds the school record at Juan Diego Catholic High. She is currently ranked by Athletic.net as the top high school javelin thrower in Utah.
Rogers placed ninth in the event at state during her sophomore season and was eighth last year.
"Brittney has steadily improved in throwing the javelin every season since her first year of throwing in her sophomore year," LCSC throwing coach Arlen Olson said. "Under the direction of (LCSC javelin) coach Tom Walker, Brittney should continue to make significant improvement over the next four years and have the opportunity to compete for LCSC at the NAIA national championships."
Rogers played volleyball all four years in high school and has a 3.32 GPA She is interested in pursuing a degree in Radiographic Science at LCSC.
