LCSC has seven student-athletes honored for academics
Seven members of the Lewis-Clark State College athletes were named to the NAIA’s 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Track and Field Scholar-Athlete team on Saturday.
A total of 548 student-athletes were recognized by the NAIA for their work in the classroom. Student-athletes are nominated by their head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
Representing the LCSC women’s team were senior Kyli Astle of Shoshone, Idaho; junior Jessie Gulsvig of Colorado Springs, Colo,; junior Casey Hampton of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and senior Lindsay Szybura of Orting, Wash. The Warrior men had three members honored, junior Jake Meyer of Grangeville; junior Nathan Uhlorn of Kamiah, and junior Mickael Testa of Asnieres, France.
