PULLMAN, Wash. – The Lewis-Clark State College track and field program had a number of standout performances at the 12th Annual Cougar Invitational on Saturday.
Among LCSC’s top performers were Dave Marks and Cody Glad who took first and second, respectively, in the 3,000 meter run. Marks finished the course in 8:52.21, and Glad came in at 9:03.81.
Hayden Randall claimed third in the steeplechase with a personal-record time of 9:50.22. In the 1,500, Pauric McLaughlin finished the course in 4:05.20 to take seventh.
In women’s running events, Kelsey Klettke took fourth in the 1,500 with a time of 4:53.13, and Francis Rojas had a time of 11:16.86 to take fifth in the 3,000.
In field events, Kale Schmidt was second overall in the men’s long jump with a score of 22-05.25, and John Murray was sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 159-04.
The Warriors competed against athletes from a number of NCAA Division I schools including Washington State, the University of Idaho, and the University of Montana.
LCSC will compete next at the Eastern Washington University Open in Cheney on April 27.
