PULLMAN, Wash. – Freshman Kaytlyn Coleman led the way for a group of Lewis-Clark State College athletes at the WSU Indoor Open track meet held on Friday and Saturday.

Coleman, a product Ellensburg, Wash., matched her personal best and the school’s record with a distance of 41-07.00 in the shot put. Her score  was good enough for fifth-place overall against mostly NCAA Division I athletes.

Coleman also finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 45-03.50.

On the men’s side, John Murray took fifth in the weight throw (50-09.25), Tyler Brackett claimed seventh and set a program record in the pole vault (13-03.50), and Reece Uhlorn was seventh in the shot put (45-09.25). Uhlorn’s score was a personal best and also set the program’s freshman class record.
