MOSCOW, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College’s Kaytlyn Coleman and John Murray both reached qualifying marks for the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Idaho Vandal Open on Sunday.
Coleman (pictured left), a freshman from Kennewick, Wash., met the NAIA’s “A” standard with a first-place throw of 43-03.00 in the shot put, a program record. Coleman also qualified for nationals and set a school record in the weight throw with a second-place score of 54-04.50.
Murray (pictured right), a sophomore from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, won the weight throw on the men’s side with a school record and NAIA qualifying mark of 57-08.25.
The indoor national championships will be held on Feb. 28-March 2 in Geneva, Ohio.
