The Lewis-Clark State College track and field program's Kaytlyn Coleman has been named the Frontier Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday evening.
Coleman, a product of Kennewick, Wash., finished first in the weight throw at the Idaho Collegiate invite last week with a school-record and personal-best distance of 59-04.00 (18.08m). The score stands as the second longest throw this year in the nation.
The freshman has qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championships in both the shot put and the weight throw. Nationals will be held Feb. 28-March 2 in Geneva, Ohio.
