Eight men and 14 women from the Lewis-Clark State College track and field teams were named to the Frontier Conference’s All-Academic team on Saturday by conference commissioner Kent Paulson.
To be eligible for the all-academic team, a student athlete must be a sophomore in standing, maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 and be enrolled at school for the previous two semesters.
The honorees on the men’s side are: seniors Justin Keller (Kinesiology) and Dave Marks (Sports Administration), juniors Nick Pierson (Kinesiology) and Hayden Randall (Criminal Justice) and sophomores Sam Atkin (Kinesiology), Tyler Brackett (Engineering), Josh Shrewsbury (Education) and Jacob Wimpenny (Business).
The members of the LCSC women’s team honored were: seniors Kelsey Klettke (Kinesiology) and Chelsey Leighton (Education), juniors Ashley Barnes (Sports Administration), Kate Olson (Nursing), Brittney Rogers (Biology) and LaDawn Wilson (Education) and sophomores Sophie Bush (Education), Kaytlyn Coleman (Education), Katie Dillavou (Business), Nicole Dillavou (Business), Hannah Maus (Education), Alyssa Rapovy (Education) and Bethany Stuffle (Nursing).
The Warriors will be competing at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships on May 23-25 in Marion, Ind.
