Madison is a key reason why this is one of the strongest freshman classes to enter the program. She comes from a strong running community and should challenge for a varsity spot.

Madison has an impressive personal resume that she brings into the program and the fact that she is willing to leave ‘Track City, USA’ (Eugene) says a lot about her desire to join our Warrior family here at LC,” Coach Mike Collins says. “We believe that Madison is going to bring that added little something to the program.”

PERSONAL: She was born on Dec. 17, 1988 and has a younger brother who runs cross country at Sheldon.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered all four years in cross country and track in Oregon’s biggest classification. Her team competed all four years at the state cross country meet, and Madison earned Most Improved and Most Inspirational awards. She earned all-Midwestern League honors three times and also was an all-Southwestern League choice. Last fall, she finished 36th overall in the Oregon State 6A meet. She also was the No. 2 finisher for Sheldon, which fielded seven seniors at the race.
