LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College
cross country coach Mike Collins has signed
his first recruit for the 2008 fall season
in Grant Eldridge, a senior at Clackamas
High School in Clackamas, Ore., a suburb of
Portland.
“We
are excited about adding Grant to our team,”
Collins says. “He is a very talented runner
earning second team all-state in cross
country the past two seasons in Oregon’s
largest school classification, and he has a
5K personal best of 16:13.”
During
last spring, Eldridge ran a personal best of
9:05 for 3,000 meters. Eldridge also
carries a GPA of better than 3.70.
“Grant
will undoubtedly help our team this next
year as we intend on continuing the success
we had this past season of being a Top 10
nationally-ranked team and will help to put
us in a position of winning our second
straight Frontier Conference Championship,”
Collins says.
