Both Lewis-Clark State College cross country teams were ranked 11th in this week’s NAIA national polling, as the men’s team rose nine spots and the women’s team climbed two.
The Warrior men, after having run a strong race last week in Salem, Ore. which involved defeating, then ranked No. 9, Concordia (Ore.), earned 379 points in the poll and are now just 24 points away from being in the top 10. For the fifth straight week Malone College topped the men’s poll as it received all 21 first place votes.
In the women’s poll, LCSC received 417 points, and is now only 28 points out of the top ten. Cedarville (Ohio) leads this poll, as it earned 17 of 22 first place votes.
Both LCSC cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Bigfoot Open in Spokane, Wash.
