As a junior, Bollinger qualified for state in the 1,600, where he placed 12th. He has personal bests of 10:04 in the 3,200 and 4:35 in the 1,600.
Thompson split time playing soccer and running cross country at Kuna. Despite running in only a few meets, he finished 24th overall at the state Class 4A meet. In track, Thompson holds Kuna High’s fifth fastest time in the 3,200 and has a personal best time of 10:15 in the race. Collins says with Thompson concentrating only on running this next fall, he should see improvements in his performance.
