SOPHOMORE: Continued to improve as the season went along… Began the year finishing sixth on the team, and by the end came in as the number four or five runner… Had a strong performance at the Region I championship where she came in fourth on the team and 34th overall… Also qualified for nationals in the steeplechase in track.

FRESHMAN: Ran varsity at nationals, and broke 19 minutes for the first time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed as a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and track until her senior year when she switched from soccer to cross country and changed her focus... Earned four letters for track as well as qualified for state track three years... Earned two letters in soccer... Was a Washington State Senior All Star for cross country after finishing ninth at the 2A state meet. 

PERSONAL: Born August 2, 1988 in Orting, Washington to Lisa and William Szybura... Has a twin sister, Beah… Hobbies are fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, and shooting… Is pursuing a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History.
