Hayden Randall, the younger brother of Madison Randall of the Lewis-Clark State Cross Country team, has signed a letter-of-intent to run for the Warriors next fall, LCSC coach Mike Collins announced on Thursday.
Hayden is a senior at Sheldon High School in Eugene and was on the school’s cross country team that qualified for state both his junior and senior seasons. Hayden set a personal-best time of 16:07 in the 5-kilometer run this season.
“He has also shown great improvement on the track since his freshman year,” Collins said. “He may end up being a great steeplechaser before it is all said and done. Something that I know runs in the family.”
Cory Randall, the father of Hayden and Madison, ran track at the University of Oregon.
Madison is a sophomore at LCSC and has earned all-Frontier Conference honors both seasons in cross country.
