Minor signs with cross country team
Samantha Minor, a senior at Lake Stevens High School in Everett, Wash., has signed a letter of intent to run for the Lewis-Clark State College cross country team in the fall, Warrior coach Mike Collins has announced.
“Samantha is a very talented runner and comes from one of the most competitive districts in the state for both cross country and track,” Collins said. “She has qualified for the state cross country championships each of the last three years and has improved upon her performance each year, going from 20:32 her sophomore year to 20:14 as a junior and 19:19 this past year.”
Minor placed 29th at the state meet last year and helped her team finish 15th overall
“We believe she has the ability to contribute right away and will play a critical role in continuing the women’s streak of qualifying for nationals and winning the conference title,” Collins said.
Minor plans to major in Education at LCSC.
