COLLEGE:
Had strong freshman year in
both cross country and
track… Placed sixth overall
in her cross country debut
at the Whitman Invitational
and then gradually built on
her time despite being
hampered by illness…
Competed in the 800, 1,500
and 1,600 relay during the
indoor and outdoor track
seasons… Was part of the
1,600 relay team that set a
school record… Started the
outdoor season with a
fifth-place finish in the
1,500 and was fifth in the
800 at the Idaho Cup…. Later
in the season she was third
in the 800 at a meet at
Eastern Washington and broke
the 2:20 barrier with a
2:19.43 late in the season
when she was third at a meet
at the University of Idaho.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Comes to LCSC with an
impressive athletic resume…
Qualified for the state
cross country meet three
times and was the district
champion in cross country
and track… Also broke
district cross country
course record and set meet
records at the Capitol
Invite (twice) and Hoquiam
Invite… During her first
three years, she
won 20 of the 35 cross
country races she competed
in... She was the state
champion in Junior Olympics
for both Oregon and
Washington in 2006 in cross
country and placed in the
top five on four occasions
in USATF Junior Olympics
Track and Field in
2006... She has personal
bests of 18:03 for 3 miles
in cross country, and 61
seconds for 400 meters, 2:19
for 800 meters, 4:52 for
1,500 meters and 10:35 for
3,000 meters in track and
field. All of her track
times would break LCSC
school records at these
distances.
PERSONAL:
Born March 14, 1990 to Suzy
and Barry Klettke… Has one
sister Tori… Her hobbies
include running, triathlons,
hiking, snowboarding,
playing with her dog,
playing catch, biking,
backpacking, playing in the
sun, and watching late night
TV… She is majoring in
Kinesiology at LCSC and made
the President’s List her
first year.
