As a senior in cross country Marks won six of the nine races he competed in and ended up finishing 12^th in the Class 6A state championship race, which was a huge leap from his junior year where he was No. 79… He was the Three Rivers League district champion... In track, he finished fifth at the 6A state track championships in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:00.75 and second in the 3,000 with a time of 8:37.59 (more than 10 seconds faster than the LCSC school record). That race also was the only 3,000 run he didn't win that year… Set two meet records in the 3K that season.
