HIGH SCHOOL: Finished 7th in the Oregon 5A cross country state meet... Ran the 13th fastest 5k in the state for 2006 in Oregon with a time of 15:51... Qualified for Nike Borderclash...Holds the Madison High School 5K school record… Also was a member of the baseball and basketball team, where in one game he hit 7-of-7 3-point attempts and scored 26 points.

PERSONAL: Born Dec.16, 1988 to Mark and Julie McConnell… He is the fifth out of nine children… Has four brothers, Elias, Nate, Matthew and Joseph, and four sisters, Evelyn, Amanda, Danielle, and Natalie. … His grandfather, Dewey McConnell, played with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL… Hobbies are sports (basketball, baseball, cross country, volleyball, and dodgeball), movies, working out, and eating… Is pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
