COLLEGE: Qualified for the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field championships for the second straight year in the 3,000 steeplechase and barely missed qualifying for the finals… Also just missed the finals her sophomore year…. During junior season, she won the steeplechase at the Pelluer Invitational and the Duane Harman Invite, finished second in the Dusty Lane Invite and fourth in the Idaho Cup… She also set a school record in the 3,000 indoors in 11:01.53… In cross country, she was consistently among the top five finishers on the team and came on strong at the end, placing 10^th overall in the LCSC Invite and fifth in the Frontier Conference meet to earn all-conference honors… She finished in the top 100 at the national meet…. As a sophomore, she continued to improve as the season went along… Began the year finishing sixth on the team, and by the end came in as the number four or five runner… Had a strong performance at the Region I championship where she came in fourth on the team and 34th overall… Also qualified for nationals in the steeplechase in track and missed advancing to the finals by one spot…As a freshman, she ran varsity at nationals, and broke 19 minutes for the first time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed as a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and track until her senior year when she switched from soccer to cross country and changed her focus... Earned four letters for track as well as qualified for state track three years... Earned two letters in soccer... Was a Washington State Senior All Star for cross country after finishing ninth at the 2A state meet. 

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 2, 1988 in Orting, Wash. to Lisa and William Szybura... Has a twin sister, Beah… Hobbies are fishing, four-wheeling, boating, scrapbooking, and pets… Is pursuing a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History.
