Keaton Trom, a senior at Post Falls High School, has signed a letter-of-intent to run for the Lewis-Clark State College men’s cross country team, Warrior coach Mike Collins announced on Thursday.

Trom was the No. 2 runner for Post Falls this season and competed in the Idaho State Class 5A Cross Country meet. The Trojans placed 10th as a team.

Trom also was a member of the Trojans’ track team and placed 14th in the 800 meters at state his junior year. He was named the team’s Hardest Worker for the season.

“Keaton comes high recommended from his high school coaches who believe that he has the potential to develop into a high quality college runner,” Collins said. “He was the No. 2  runner this past year for Post Falls and showed great improvement throughout the season.  We think he is going to continue to develop this spring in track and are looking forward to having him become a part of our family this fall.”

Trom, who also competed in the Washington State 2B cross country and track meets as a freshman, plans to double major in Criminal Justice and Business at LCSC.  He also was recently named Mr. Post Falls for 2011.
