FC honors runners Klettke and Marks
Junior Kelsey Klette and sophomore Dave Marks, both runners at Lewis-Clark State College, were named the Frontier Conference’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Klette, who is from Vancouver, Wash., finished fifth in the Erik Anderson Memorial Invitational last Saturday in Spokane. She was timed in 18 minutes and 55 seconds over the 5,000 meter course and was the top finisher among all NAIA runners.
Marks competed in the same meet and finished seventh in the men’s 8,000-meter race in a time of 25:44. Marks, who is from Lake Oswego, Ore., also was the top finisher among NAIA runners. The Warrior men finished second in the meet, ahead of Gonzaga, Whitworth, and Central Washington. The LCSC women were fourth in the meet.
Both teams resume action this Saturday in Salem, Ore., for the Willamette Invitational.
