The Lewis-Clark State college men’s and women’s cross country teams fell one spot in this week’s NAIA Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 polls after being idle last week.
The Warrior men fell to No. 6 in the poll after switching places with No. 5 The Master’s, which had 528 points. LCSC had 505, while No. 7 Southern Oregon is at 492.
On the women’s side, the Warriors switched places with Embry-Riddle of Florida, which is now at No. 14 with 341 points. LCSC is No. 15 at 339 and has been ranked in 99 straight NAIA poll dating back to 2001.
Oklahoma Christian drew 17 of the 22 first-place votes in the men’s poll to hold down the top spot for the second straight week, while No. 2 Shorter of Georgia drew four first-place votes. No. 4 Cal State San Marcos received the other No. 1 vote.
On the women’s side, Azusa Pacific had 19 first-place votes and leads the poll, while Cal-State San Marcos had three first-place votes to stand second.
LCSC will participate in the Inland Empire Classic this Friday in Spokane at 4 p.m.
