For the third time this season, Lewis-Clark State College’s Jimmy Oribo was named the Frontier Conference men’s cross country Runner of the Week, league officials announced on Monday.
Oribo, a junior from Kampala, Uganda, finished sixth overall to help the LCSC men’s team claim an impressive third-place at the Inland Northwest Championships in Spokane last week.
Oribo ran the 8-kilometer course in 24 minutes and 31 seconds to finish as the top non-NCAA Division I runner in the meet.
The Warriors, ranked No. 6 in last week’s NAIA poll, will host the LCSC Open on Saturday at Lewiston’s Hells Gate State Park. The women’s race is scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m., and the men’s race will follow at 11:30 a.m.
