JUNIOR: Had another good year for the Warriors, finishing third on the team in every regular-season race…best mark was ninth place in the Warrior Invite in 18:48….came on strong during her favorite meet and was the team’s No. 2 finisher and the sixth finisher overall at the Frontier Conference meet, which earned her all-conference honors…competed for the third straight year at the national meet where she was fifth on the team and placed 136th overall.

SOPHOMORE:  Finished as the team’s No. 4 runner four times and No. 6 runner twice...best overall finish came at the LCSC Invite where she placed seventh in 18:46.2...helped LC to conference championship and competed at nationals...member of 4x400 outdoor relay team which raced a program-best 4:18.14.

FRESHMAN: Landmark season was highlighted by Shuel’s victory at the Frontier Conference race in a personal-best time of 18:21.98, making her the women’s Frontier Conference Runner of the Year…finished third overall and first on the team in the Whitman Invitational and proceeded to be LCSC’s top finisher in every race until nationals when she was the Warriors’ No. 2 finisher…placed in the top-10 overall at the Bigfoot Invitational in Spokane and also at the LCSC Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four season in track and cross country at West Valley High in Yakima…placed first at the Fort Steilacoom Invite during her junior year …recorded personal-bests of 59 seconds in the 400m, 2:19 in the 800m, 4:59 in the 1500m, 11:47 in the 3200m and 18:52 in the 5k cross country race…finished fourth in the Washington State 3A Cross Country Championship race her junior year.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 26, 1989 to David and Virginia Shuel…one brother, Ryan Shuel…hobbies are scuba diving…majoring in Kinesiology.
