KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s cross country team moved to sixth nationally in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll released Wednesday, and the women’s team is now ranked ninth in the country.

The Warriors were idle last weekend, but will return to action Saturday at the Erik Anderson Invitational in Spokane.

The LCSC men received 479 points in the poll of head coaches nationwide, and the women got 398 points.

Southern Oregon received 18 of a possible 20 first-place votes and 559 points overall to hold onto the top spot in the men’s poll, and the University of British Columbia topped the women’s poll for the first time in program history.

The Thunderbirds got 19 first-place votes and 560 points to displace Cal State San Marcos, last week’s top-ranked squad.
