Dave Marks, a senior on the No. 9 Lewis-Clark State men’s cross country team, was named the Frontier Conference’s Runner of the Week for the fourth time this season on the heels of his fourth-place finish at the Warriors’ Inland Empire Championship on Saturday.
The award was announced Monday by the league office.
Marks, from Lake Oswego, Ore. was the highest-placing runner among non-Division I athletes at the meet held in the Lewiston Orchards, completing the 8K course in 24 minutes, 44 seconds.
Marks competed against runners from programs such as Washington State, Gonzaga and Eastern Washington on Saturday, and more than held his own against the high-level competition.
Marks and the Warriors will next be in action at the Frontier Conference Championships on Nov. 2 in Helena, Mont.
