Two members of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s cross country team and one from the men’s squad were named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes, the NAIA announced on Friday.
In order to qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, have achieved a junior academic status, and have attended the nominating institution for two full semesters.
On the men’s side, LCSC senior Dave Marks of Lake Oswego, Ore. earned the award for a second straight season.
Overall, the NAIA honored 317 women’s cross country athletes, while 203 student-athletes received the award on the men’s side. Full lists: Women’s | Men’s
