PERSONAL:
Social Science major...son of Rod and Mona Ball…COACH PFEIFER ON BALL:
“Everyday that goes by I have mixed emotions about this young man red
shirting this year. Too many times I know he is one of the best players on
the floor that day in practice and picture him in street clothes when we are
playing on game night. On the flip side of that, I know for a fact we have a
tremendous player waiting in the wings for next year, and this red shirt
year is going to develop him into an even more dangerous player for our
opponents to contend with. The reason I feel bold enough to state his impact
as a fact is based on what he has already done. Danny was previously an
All-Conference selection, lead the country in free throw percentage, was
14th in the country in scoring and when we made our focus last year to slow
him down he clubbed us for 24 points both games we played him! Like I said I
have mixed emotions.”
