In that season he became eligible at Christmas and as the season wore on we saw James really emerge as one of the more dominate players in our league. His scoring numbers, rebounding and field goal percentage were definitely All-Conference caliber, but since he missed half the season was not qualified for those accolades. Our hope and belief  his being able to play all the games in the non-conference and his new found focus towards basketball will bring out an even larger upside than we witnessed from him before. He might be one of the best athletes I have ever coached. His speed, quickness and jumping ability combined with his strength make him an impact player. In the beginning it was his raw athletic ability that made him a valuable player, what we are seeing is his basketball skills are improving and when you couple that with his dominate athletic ability……..”
