Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball is #10 in Pre-Season Poll
Jared Price Selected Pre-Season Honorable Mention All-America

LEWISTON-
The Lewis-Clark State College men’s basketball team is ranked #10 in the NAIA pre-season poll conducted by Street & Smith’s College Basketball Preview magazine.

"The top-10 pre-season ranking by Street and Smith’s magazine is a positive," said men’s head basketball coach, George Pfeifer. "Anytime you garner national recognition, it’s a good thing. It re-addresses last year’s accomplishments and this year’s expectations."

Jared Price (Gresham, OR) was named to the pre-season Honorable Mention All-America team. "To my knowledge, Jared is the first person to receive this type of pre-season accolade in the history of the men’s basketball program," said Pfeifer. "For Jared to obtain this kind of honor, having missed a third of last year’s season, indicates a lot about him as a player. We are all happy for Jared receiving this recognition, but that pales in comparison to the happiness we feel seeing him on the court practicing everyday."

Lewis-Clark State finished last year at 20-9 and made it to the NAIA Sweet 16. The Warriors return four starters who all averaged double-figures in points. L-C opens the season Monday, October 30th, with an exhibition game against the Seattle All-Stars, at 7:00 pm in Warrior Gymnasium.

The Street & Smith’s Pre-Seaon Top-10, with 1999-2000 record in parentheses, is:

1) Life (GA) University (34-2)
2) Spring Hill (AL) College (29-8)
