Lewiston, ID--Ryan Bender (Shoreline, WA) was named to the NAIA Honorable Mention All-America Team, released Tuesday, March 20th.

The senior forward finished the season with an 11.4 points per game average and a team-leading 7.5 rebounds per game mark. Bender was also named to All-Frontier Conference, earlier this month.

Bender was also named to the NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete Team. He posted a 3.58 GPA in Education. Joining Bender on the team are three other Warriors. Phillip Way (Craigmont, ID) recorded a 4.00 GPA in Education. Zach Wilson (Orofino, ID) registered a 3.59 GPA in Computer Design, and Beau Barney (Grand Junction, CO) posted a 3.51 GPA in Education. This is Bender’s second All-America Scholar-Athlete award.

"The fact that one-third of our team earned the right to be named Academic All-America speaks volumes to the quality of people that are in our program," said head coach George Pfeifer. "We are very proud of their accomplishments. I am particularly proud of Ryan Bender for earning this award and being our first two-time Academic All-America."
