L-C ranks among top 25 for third consecutive year
(1996, 1997, 1998)

ATLANTA--The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 1998 Academic Top-25 Team Honor Roll, recognizing the nations’s highest NAIA team grade point averages for the 1997-98 season, based upon nominations submitted by WBCA member coaches. The WBCA Academic Top-25 Honor Roll for NAIA is as follows (with head coaches of 1997 squads):

In addition, the WBCA compiled a list for the other WBCA collegiate division, that was led by Duquesne University (NCAA Division I) , Regis University (Colo.) (NCAA Division II), University of Wisconsin-Stout (NCAA Division III) and Lower Cloumbia College (JC/CC).

Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women’s basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport of women’s basketball and to foster and promote the development of the game in all of its aspects as an amateur sport for women and girls.
