JUNIOR COLLEGE: Transferred from Citrus College in 2005, after playing two years as a starter. He recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in his two years there.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Victor Valley High School and graduated in 2002. There he averaged 17 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 2 steals, and 1.8 blocks a game. For his efforts he earned All-CIF and All-League honors. 

PERSONAL: Business Management major…son of Maurice and Beverly Thompson. 

Coach Walker on Thompson:   “We are so fortunate to have a guy like Steve.  He is such a solid player.  He’s not going to wow you with one or two things he does, but he does so many things very well.  First, he can play any guard spot, and at 6’3, 195, he can be a load.  He shoots the ball well from 17 feet and in, but you also have to respect the three point shot with him.  Steve can take the ball off the bounce and get to the rim, or pull up and score.  His best attribute may be his defense.  He can also guard multiple spots, and rebound well.  A great person, Steve should have a rewarding career as a Warrior.”
