JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Attended Sheridan College where he earned
Wyoming Conference First Team honors and also
was selected to the conference’s All Defensive
Team last season…he also was feted with the
Defensive Player of the Year award in Region IX
…averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 steals, and 2.8
assists last season… was 47-of-98 from the
3-point line (48 percent) and was 59-of-72 at
the foul line (81.9 percent) last year.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Sunnyside High in Fresno, Calif., where
he averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 steals, and 5.0
assists per game as a senior, which earned him
first-team all-league and All-Fresno Valley
honors…he was MVP of the Clovis Elks Tournament
and made the all-tournament team at two other
events…also was a first-team all-league
selection in football.
PERSONAL:
Kinesiology major. Born on Oct. 7, 1987, and his
parents are Brian F. Duckworth and Veda
Marin…hobbies include football, video games,
music, and movies.
Coach Walker: "Duck
is such a hard worker. He is really relentless
on the defensive end of the floor and really
takes pride in playing tough defense. He can
shoot the ball, handle it, penetrate, and is a
pretty good decision maker. We think Brian is a
solid leader and should help us in that respect
also."
