2006-07: Topped
brilliant season by being named co-Frontier
Conference Player of the Year with teammate
Teran Lee and then was a second-team
All-American selection…turned heads right away
with a 32-point season-high effort against
Vanguard in early November…went 9-of-9 from the
field against the University of Alberta…never
fouled out of a game last year but did collect
four fouls six times…had season-highs of nine
rebounds (twice), five assists, five steals, and
three blocked shots…averaged team-best of 16.5
points per game and was second in rebounding at
5.5 per outing…shot 61.5 percent from the field
and 72.3 percent from the foul line.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Mike averaged 6 points
and 4 rebounds per game his freshman year, and 7 points and 3
rebounds his sophomore year…his career game highs were 19 points, 11
rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Denver North High
School….Mike was named first-team All-City, first-team All-State,
All-Colorado, and Gatorade Player of the Year…led the his state in
scoring his junior year and averaged 26 points per game…averaged 30
points and 14 rebounds per game his senior year.
PERSONAL: Social work major…son of
Michael Gordy Jr.

a really good offensive player. He has great
hands and feet, which really help him with
scoring the ball in the paint. He’s got a big
body, likes contact, and when he’s in a flow,
Mike is a tough guy to stop when he gets the
ball."
