Warrior men suffer first
loss of the season, 69-67

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Poor
shooting performance in the
second half spelled doom for
the Lewis-Clark State
College men’s basketball
team as the Warriors fell to
Walla Walla University 69-67
in the Walla Walla
University Invitational on
Friday.
The Warriors led by 12 at
halftime but managed only 28
points in the second half to
suffer their first loss of
the season. LCSC, 5-1
overall, also only made
1-of-14 attempts from the
3-point line.
LCSC led 39-27 at halftime
but Walla Walla University,
a Seventh-Day Adventist
school, rallied to take the
lead with 7:19 left. LCSC
guard Justin Fraser missed a
half-court shot at the
buzzer.
The Warriors were
outrebounded 32-20 in the
game and gave up 15
offensive rebounds, which
led to several scoring
opportunities for Walla
Walla.
LCSC was paced by Mike
Gordy’s 16 points, while
Napoleon Gordon Jr. and Jon
Daly added 12 each.
LCSC resumes played on Nov.
23 when it takes part in the
Southern Oregon Tournament.
On Dec. 19, Walla Walla
University visits LCSC in a
rematch.
