LCSC men fall to Oregon

ASHLAND, Ore. - The
Oregon Institute of
Technology men's
basketball team shot
52.9 percent from the
3-point line to claim an
82-67 win over
Lewis-Clark State in the
opening round of the
Flagship Inn Classic on
Friday night.
OIT hit 9-of-17 from the
3-point area and shot
45.8 percent overall
from the field to drop
the Warriors to 5-2 on
the season.
LCSC also attempted 17
3-pointers in the game
but hit on just five.
The Warriors also shot
41.8 percent from the
field and were
outrebounded 42-34 in
the contest.
The Warriors did lead
19-11 early, but OIT
rallied to take a 39-31
advantage at halftime.
Mike Gordy led the
Warrior with 18 points
and nine rebounds, while
Dorian Watson added 17
points and nine boards.
Justin Fraser scored
nine points.
OIT had four players in
double figures.
LCSC completes
tournament action on
Saturday night at 7:30
p.m. against the host
team, Southern Oregon.
LCSC defeated Southern
Oregon 88-44 in a
tournament earlier this
season in Lewiston.
The Warriors are without
the services of both Jon
Daly and Kasey Riley,
both 6-foot-7 centers.
Daly has a staph
infection in his leg,
while Riley suffered an
MCL injury that could
sideline him until
Frontier Conference
play.
