BILLINGS, Mont. – Seniors Curtis Allen and Brian Duckworth were named to the All-Frontier Conference second team men’s basketball squad, which was released on Wednesday by conference commissioner Mike Walker.
The awarded were voted on by the conference coaches, who could not vote for their own players.
Allen, a 6-foot-3 guard from Long Beach, Calif., led the Warriors in scoring at 16.8 points per season and also tied Duckworth for the team high in steals at 49. Allen started 23 games and shot 48.8 percent from the field. He also led the team in rebounding at 5.7 and was third on the team in assists, and tied for the lead in blocked shots.
This was Allen’s first year in the program after transferring from Oral Roberts University.
Duckworth, a 6-1 guard from Fresno, Calif., was second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game. He led the team in 3-pointers with 32 and 3-point shooting at 34.4 percent. He also was among the NAIA national leaders in free-throw percentage and finished the year at 85.6 percent, which ranks seventh on the LCSC single-season list.
Duckworth also averaged 3.3 rebounds and was second on the team in assists with 55. He was a two-year starter for the Warriors after transferring to LCSC from Sheridan Junior College in Wyoming.
The Warriors finished the season at 11-14 overall, including 5-9 in conference play.
