The Lewis-Clark State College men’s basketball team is ranked No. 24 in this week’s NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 poll, dropping three spots from a week ago.
The Warriors went 1-1 on the road last week, defeating Rocky Mountain and then losing to Carroll College, which also defeated a ranked Westminster team. That helped Carroll, 12-4, overall jump from being unranked to tied for No. 16 in the poll. Westminster, 14-4, fell from No. 12 to No. 22 this week, while LCSC, 13-4, fell from No. 21 to No. 24.
No other Frontier Conference team received votes in this week’s poll.
Louisiana State University Shreveport held down the top spot for the second straight week with a 15-0 record. LSU Shreveport received 11 of the 12 first-place votes, while Concordia University of California, 16-2, overall, received the other and is third in the poll.
The Warriors face another tough task on the road this week as they travel to Salt Lake City to meet Westminster at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. LCSC leads the FC standings with a 3-1 mark, while Westminster is 2-2.
