Heat in the Street is July 9

The annual Heat in the Street 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held July 9 in downtown Lewiston in conjunction with Lewiston Crazy Days.

 
Games will be played in downtown Lewiston and there are men’s and women’s divisions for all ages. The entry fee per team is $65 prior to June 25 and $75 after.
 
Check-in and late registration will be held on July 9 at 7:45-8:45 a.m. in front of the Diamond Shop in downtown Lewiston. Each participant will receive a free T-shirt and there will be awards to the first place team in each category. Each team is guaranteed two games and play will commence at around 9 a.m.
 
The age group breakdown for each men and women division, are 10-and-under, 11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18, Women’s Open, and Men’s Open. There also will be a 6-foot-and-under division and an aged 30-and-over division for men.
 
Games are to 30 points or a 20-minute time limit (the 3-point line is in effect). Players call their own fouls if officials aren’t present. Several other rules are in place.
