2009-10: Played in all 29 games and started three in the middle of the season… Led team in 3-pointers made with 48 and was second on the team in 3-point shooting percentage at 38.1 percent (48-of-126). Shot 40.5 percent from the field (79-of-195)… Finished third on the team in rebounding with 118 and averaged 7.5 points and 4.1 rebounding per game… He was fourth on the team in points with 218 and tied for fifth in steals with 25… Scored in double figures nine times, including a season-high 16 points against Warner Pacific in the team’s third game of the season when he was 6-of-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 from the 3-point line… The six field goals and four 3-pointers tied for his season highs… Had 11 rebounds in a game against Montana State-Northern… Also had season highs of four assists and three steals.

PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Spent 2008-09 season at the Community Colleges of Spokane after playing freshman year at North Idaho College… At CCS, he averaged 10 points and 5.5 rebounds per game to help the Sasquatch to the Eastern Region title in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges… The team finished 20-8 overall… Recorded season highs of 24 points and 13 rebounds… Had two games where he finished in double digits in both points and rebounds… Shot 38 percent from the 3-point line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a standout at Republic High where he averaged 27 points per game his senior season for the Tigers in helping lead them to a third-place finish at the Washington State Class 2B Tournament… He was also selected as the 2B Player of the Year his senior
season… He and his brother were a part of the 2004 State B Championship Team, playing for their father John… Also played football and baseball… Lettered twice in football where he was a quarterback, wide receiver and safety… In baseball, he pitched and played shortstop third base, outfield and catcher… He was the team captain his senior year in both basketball and baseball… During his freshman year, the football team finished third at state and the baseball team was fourth… His basketball team was fifth his sophomore and then second his junior year when he set the Republic all-time single season scoring record with 47 points… Also was chosen the Washington B Player of the Year for baseball his senior year… Compiled a 115-10 record in basketball his four years at Republic… Played for Washington Elite in basketball and Spokane Dodgers in baseball during sophomore and junior seasons.

PERSONAL: Born April 25, 1989 to John and Penny Gianukakis… Has one brother Zach… His father played professional baseball in the Philadelphia Phillies organization and his brother played basketball at Community Colleges of Spokane… Was the class treasurer at Republic High and graduated with a 3.87 GPA… Hobbies include hunting, fishing, boating, golf and sports… Is majoring in Business Administration.
