was third on the
team in scoring at

fourth in steals

his career off with
a bang by scoring a
season-high 20
points…scored in
double digits in 12
games, including
nine of the first 13
games of the

19 points against
Rocky Mountain
during conference
play when he made a
season-best 12 free
throws on 14
attempts… hit three
of his seven
3-pointers against
Montana Tech when he
had 15 points…also
had season highs of
eight in rebounds,
eight in assists,
and three (twice) in
steals…Did not foul
out of a game and in
fact never had more
than three fouls in
any contest a year
ago…took on a
different role at
the end of the
season when he
scored just 14 total
points in the final
nine games.

Spent two seasons at
Lower Columbia
Community College in
Longview, Wash.,
where he was point
guard on the
basketball team…He
served as captain
during sophomore
campaign under coach
Jim Roffler…He
earned first-team
all-NWAACC during
his sophomore year
and also made the
all-NWAACC
Tournament Team…He
scored 21 points in
the first half of a
game against Walla
Walla Community
College and finished
with 25
points….During his
freshman season, Key
was named Most
Inspirational at the
NWAACC Tournament
and scored 24 points
in the championship
game, which Lower
Columbia lost by two
points in overtime.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Key earned three
letters in
basketball at Mark
Morris High in
Longview and was
captain of the team
his senior year in
2008...He earned
league MVP and Best
Defensive Player
honors his senior
year as well as
first-team All-Area
and All-State
honors…Led team to
24-5 mark after a
26-1 record his
junior year when the
team’s only loss
came in the state
championship
game…Earned
first-team all-area
and Best Defensive
Player honors as a
junior…He also
played on the
football and
baseball teams and
also was a team
captain in both
sports his senior
year…He also earned
All-Area and team
MVP honors in
baseball…Hit .436
with six home runs
as a senior
outfielder….Led the
league in
interceptions as a
defensive back in
football his senior
year despite playing
only half the
season.
