Men's Basketball Player Profiles

Jared Mercer 20 6-0 175 Guard Kamiah, Idaho
Jared has the distinction of being the only returning senior on this years team. A transfer from the University of Idaho two years ago, Jared played in all 25 games and started nearly half of those games. He was one of the top 3point shooters in the conference connecting on 49 while shooting 39% from behind the arc. Four-times he lead the Warriors in scoring with his high game against Central Washington where he earned 21 points. Out of Kamiah High School, Jared still holds the Idaho State High School career scoring record totaling 2589 points for an amazing career average of 27 points per game. Jared moved back and forth from point guard to off guard largely because of his strength as a shooter.
PROSPECTUS: "There was a big difference from how Jared played at the beginning of last year to how he played at the end. Time on the court was the biggest reason. With a player of his background, our hope for Jared is that he will continue to grow confidence as a scorer, and will do all the other aspects of the game at a higher and more productive level."
