John walked on for the Warriors
during the holiday break of the 1998-99 season and became eligible at the holiday break of
1999-2000. John prepped at Orofino High School where he played on the same team as Warrior twins Zach and Josh Wilson. Coach Pfeifer on John Kayler: "John is a wing player who is learning the Warrior system. He is very dependable and works very hard. He's a positive addition to the Warrior team."
